His boat, a wooden dhow named The Thon Fille, almost sinks under the weight of the great fish but Akeem manages to avoid hungry sharks and the elements. Yet, when he crosses paths with an illegal Libyan fishing vessel, the drama ensues.
The purpose of this book is to expose the very real illegal tuna fishing boats through a fictional story that weaves its way around the Mediterranean from Africa to Europe.

This book held my attention from start to finish. I couldn’t put it down until I finished it. I think it would make a great book for students.
